We moved to Kenley when John was just a kid. He was friendly and outgoing with a bit of a reputation. My dad took a shine to him and we found a very different John to the one we were told about. How much fun did we have with him dropping in and out and playing practical jokes, hearing Dad laughing and joking with him. John's introduction to 14 yr old Jen was typical John, not to say he was an old friend of the family and had seen her grow up, but to say 'Hey you're Jenni, i didn't recognise you with your clothes on!!!!!!!!!! I had great fun pointing out that she had been a baby the last time he saw her which is why he knew her and she didn't know him!!!! That was the start of a renewing of a great friendship which only got better - miss your fun and loving ways John, you left a great legacy in your kids xx
